We were lucky enough to pick up a small, well-cared-for collection of 19th-century botanical fern prints. This particular plate is a faithful reproduction of a naturalist illustration by Edward Joseph Lowe, taken from his book "Ferns: British and Exotic" (1856-1860). The subject is a graceful portion of pinna of the tree fern Dicksonia rubiginosa, richly and minutely detailed.

Sizes: 8"x12" , 12"x18" , 16"x24"
